What is a Swiss Passport?
A Swiss passport is a travel document issued to nationals of Switzerland by the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs. It is valid for ten years and allows its holder to reside and work in any country in the world. NEW ZEALAND VISA FOR SWISS CITIZENS
If you are applying for a new New Zealand visa, you will need to apply through the New Zealand Department of Internal Affairs. The process will be different depending on if you are applying as a tourist, business person or student.
If you are a tourist, you will need to provide your passport information, including your photograph and signature. You will also need to provide evidence that you have sufficient funds to cover your stay in New Zealand, such as an international credit card or bank statement.
If you are a business person or student, you will need to provide additional documentation, including proof of your company’s registration with the Swiss authorities, proof of your education and/or training in New Zealand and proof of your financial stability.
Once all of the required documentation has been submitted, you will be contacted by the New Zealand Department of Internal Affairs for an appointment to submit your application in person.
How to Apply for a New Zealand Visa with a Swiss Passport
If you are travelling to New Zealand and have a valid Swiss passport, then you can apply for a visa at any Australian border post. The process is relatively simple – all you need is your passport and some passport-sized photos. The application fee is NZ$60 (about US$45). You can also apply for a visa at the New Zealand High Commission in London. However, this route is slightly more complicated, and you will need to make an appointment in advance. If you are travelling to New Zealand on a tourist visa, then you will not be able to apply for a residence visa. You will need to obtain a visitor’s visa instead.
